Academy Duo coach Clitheroe


Lancashire CCC Academy players Harry Dearden and Saqib Mahmood, help Clitheroe Royal Grammar School Year 7 Pupils with their cricket development as part of the Lancashire Way.

Part of the England Development Programme as well as the Lancashire Academy, Dearden and Mahmood were keen to help the Clitheroe Pupils in their cricket coaching session.

Academy Director John Stanworth said: ‘Our Academy players are great role models for High School pupils, they know the value of helping to run the junior cricket sessions and are aware of their responsibility when being a part of the Lancashire Academy’.

Both Dearden and Mahmood have made their debuts for Lancashire 2nd XI and will look to continue their journey through to the Lancashire 1st XI. They are both a great showcase for cricket in Lancashire, as well as being great ambassadors for the sport.

Seven members of the LCCC team, who played yesterday’s NatWest T20 Blast win against Worcestershire, came through Lancashire’s junior system, including Andrew Flintoff!
