Education Without Boundaries Pilot

The Foundation ran its pilot Education Without Boundaries (EWB) session today (25th October) at Emirates Old Trafford. A Year 6 class from Seymour Park Community Primary spent a day with us trying some of the EWB activities.

They took a Lanky’s lesson in Fair Play followed by some Cricket in the Indoor Cricket Centre then later in the afternoon they tried activities from Lanky’s Numbers Game and Lanky’s Literacy Club.Sonia a pupil from Seymour Park Primary said “I enjoyed being here today because I really like sports and learnt about being a fair player”
Ms Goodson from Seymour Park Primary said: “The activities encouraged the children to work as part of a team and reflect on the importance of fair play. The children used what they had learnt in the classroom activities and applied this to the practical session. They really enjoyed the day.”
The feedback on this pilot day will be used to develop the EWB programme going forward. Education Without Boundaries offers a day’s activities to Primary schools in PSE, Numeracy, Literacy and Media. Contact Education Manager Ian Seddon for more information 0161 282 4028
