LCCC Foundation Signs Up to Fundraising Regulation, Championing Best Practice Across Lancashire
The LCCC Foundation is proud to announce that the organisation has joined the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) and is now signed up to independent fundraising regulation, championing best practice across Lancashire.
As a member of the FRSB, LCCC Foundation commits to the highest standards of fundraising and to a set of core principles that include honesty, transparency and accountability. The 'give with confidence tick' logo will be displayed on the website and on fundraising appeals and literature, providing added reassurance for donors and potential supporters. Should there be any concerns about the way the charity raises funds, a robust complaints process is in place, notifying the FRSB of any issues raised.
Sandy Mitchell, Head of Community Development of LCCC Foundation said: “We have joined the FRSB to show our commitment to best practice in all our fundraising. With more and more organisations competing for funds, it is important for our charity to provide reassurance to the public/our community about how we go about asking for money to support our work. Being a member also gives a small charity like ours access to information, advice and support that is invaluable and we would encourage other fundraising organisations in Lancashire to join.”
More than 1,300 charities and fundraising organisations throughout the UK have now signed up to regulation through the FRSB. Alistair McLean, Chief Executive of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) said: “We are pleased to welcome LCCC Foundation as a new member. By signing up to the scheme, the charity has promised to follow the highest standards when asking supporters for money and is championing best practice across the region.”
