LCCC Foundation Young Trustees

The LCCC Foundation is working with a group of young people to assist us in enhancing community opportunities for people of their age in their own areas. The Young Trustees will lead on community events, participate in programmes and projects, represent our charity and also volunteer. The current panel of young people come from various areas of Trafford and attend Stretford High School, Ashton on Mersey High School and Knutsford High School. They are the Foundations, ‘Young’s Persons Voice’.

The Young Trustees have worked on a number of Projects and events the group have worked on attended so far, some of which are, a film project that allowed the group the chance to go to Media City and produce, write and create their own film about the Foundation’s work which was shown at our Inaugural Gala Ball. They also attended the ball and introduced themselves and their film to all who attended including, Ambassadors, 1st Team players and High Profile Guests. They had the chance to attend the 1st Lancashire Launch event and interview all the Foundation Ambassadors and take part in activities’ alongside guests on the day. They worked with a Local Graffiti Artist to design and produce 5 6ft x 4ft pieces of Arts that are displayed around the ground. They have also been on a bowling trip and attended the Challenge 4 Change centre.

This has encouraged and helped them all to complete and achieve an ASDAN award in leadership.

This year the group will be working on fundraising activities to raise money for themselves for future activities they would like to participate in.

We currently have places for some new Young Trustees. If you would like to join the group and are between 11-14 years old or for more information please contact Kay on kfloyd@lccc.co.uk
