Local school coached by England Players

Seymour Park Primary School in Trafford were selected by the LCCC Foundation to have a coaching session with England players Jonny Bairstow and Ian Bell, ahead of the 3rd Investec Ashes Test Match at Emirates Old Trafford.

In association with Asda and the Professional Cricketers' Association, the day consisted of a coaching master class in the Indoor Cricket Centre at Emirates Old Trafford. The children not only had some hints and tips from England's batsmen Bell and Bairstow, but also witnessed Australia practising in the INdoor Cricket Centre with Aussie captain Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin and Shane Watson. They also had the bonus of watching England Captain Alastair Cook having a net.

Steph Carter, teacher from Seymoor Park Primary School said: "The kids had lots of fun working on the basics of the game and both Bell and Bairstow were very approachable and pleasant with the pupils. The day was made even better when the pupils had the chance to watch both the England and Australia captains have a net. I'd like to thank the LCCC Foundation, Lancashire Cricket Board, Asda and the PCA for giving our pupils this great opportunity."
