Red Rose Floods Appeal Closing In On £20K Target

THE SUCCESSFUL Red Rose Floods Appeal is set to end on Friday 12 February and is closing in on its revised target of £20,000.
The appeal, which was set up in collaboration between Lancashire County Cricket Club, the LCCC Foundation and the Lancashire Cricket Board, was launched shortly after the Boxing Day floods which adversely affected communities across Lancashire.

The initial target of £10,000 was reached within seven days of the appeal starting thanks to the overwhelming generosity of supporters from all over the country and some of LCCC’s partners.
This prompted officials to set a new target of £20,000 which has been greatly received and well supported.

Over £10,000 from the appeal has already been distributed to the ‘Lancashire Recovery Flood Appeal’, which has supported vulnerable people and households in hardship who have been victims of flooding, and to several community cricket clubs that were identified by the LCB and ECB as the most seriously affected by the floods.

In order to bolster the appeal further, Lancashire County Cricket Club has donated the following auction prizes to help raise even more money for the appeal:

• 4 x VIP Hospitality places for Sunday 24th July – Second Investec Test between England and Pakistan
(starting price: £700)
• 2 x VIP Hospitality places for the NatWest IT20 between England and Pakistan on Wednesday 7th September.
(starting price: £250)
• 2 x VIP Hospitality for Rihanna on Wednesday 29th June
(starting price: £300)

If you would like to bid for any of the above items, please email with Red Rose Floods Appeal as the subject line.

The deadline for bids will be Friday 12th February (midday).

All remaining funds after the close will be distributed.

The total raised so far stands at just over £17,000 and donations can still be made by visiting
