ST JOHN FISHER SCHOOL OF TAMESIDE
VISIT LANCASHIRE COUNTY CRICKET CLUB
St John Fisher school of Tameside made a visit to Emirates Old Trafford and stated that it was a "resounding success".
Here are a few words that the school have mentioned about their day on their school website.
"We met in the superb, AJ. Bell Player &Media Centre where the children had a wonderful view over the cricket pitch. Ian then told us about the ground and all that is happening at a professional cricket club.
Afterwards, we did some really fun Literacy activities building up our cricket vocabulary and then we had a competition writing a short story using five of the words from our vocabulary list.
Our final activity was playing cricket at the indoor centre where there was some excellent batting and bowling in two close matches. On August 7th, some pupils and their families will be returning to watch the first day’s play in the England v India Test match."
