The LCCC Foundation enjoys International Drawing Day at Emirates Old Trafford

To mark International Drawing Day 2017 and to promote the fantastic work of The LCCC Foundation, Emirates Old Trafford is detailing wonderful and popular Lanky’s Art Group.

Held twice weekly on a Wednesday and Friday morning, Lanky’s under 5’s Art Group runs between 10am – 11.30am  during term time and invites parents, guardians, careers and their children to get creative together.

International Drawing Day is there to remind us to express creativity and remind us that we can all achieve something worthwhile. It’s also there to bring much-needed appreciation and awareness to illustrators and artists.

Kay Floyd, Community Project Officer at LCCC Foundation, who co-ordinates Lanky’s Art Group said: “International drawing day is the perfect occasion to really highlight how fantastic and worthwhile Lanky’s Art Group is to so many children and their families.”

At just £2 per child, including Tea/Coffee for Adults, and toast, fruit and water for the children, the sessions are not to be missed! Each week the sessions are themed around a particular story, event or nursery rhyme, all helping children learn and develop their skills, as well as helping them make new friends too.

Miriam Wild, Sessional worker who delivers Lanky’s Arts Group said: “Not only is it a time where children are able to express their creativity through art, but they, along with their parents, guardians or carers are able to build relationships with others, and take part in other fun activities including arts and crafts, singing, music, dance and so much more”

But don’t just take our word for it, so many of the parents and guardians were more than happy to share their experiences of attending Lanky’s art group:

“Great art activities, healthy snack, stories & Songs. Perfect combination!”

“He enjoys attending the group each week and showing of the crafts he has made. He also enjoys playing with the other children who attend and making new friends.”

“Fantastic variety of activities within each session, in a relaxed and informal setting. This Group is brilliant not just for the children but for the adults too!”
